Jill Douglas

Jill and her husband David moved to Lafayette 26 years ago (although truth be told, they both grew up in Lafayette).  After a 10 year career as a lobbyist for the California Medical Association, Jill resigned to raise her two children. During those early child rearing years, Jill attended the Protocol School of Washington, achieving her certification as a Corporate Etiquette Consultant.  She taught etiquette privately, at community centers, NCL Chapters, Girl Scout troops, etc.  For the past 16 years, Jill has worked as an assistant to a philanthropist.

Jill has supported the Lafayette community since moving back as an adult.  She was a member of Lafayette Juniors, elected to the Happy Valley Site Council and held various volunteer positions at Happy Valley, Stanley and Acalanes.  She was a Daisy and Girl Scout leader for many years, Secretary of Boy Scout Troop 224 and has been on the Board and held countless other volunteer positions at Temple Isaiah in Lafayette.  In addition to her Lafayette volunteer activities,  Jill has been on the Board of Project Hearth for over 10 years.  Project Hearth, operating under the umbrella of Shelter, Inc., raises funds to help families with children who are at risk of becoming homeless.
